This is Golfer Geeks’ Titleist GT2 driver review.
I’m an avid golfer, a 7ish handicap on my way to a 2 (been a 5.6) and frequent tester of golf clubs and equipment since 2015.

Best For
Any golfer who wants the ball to go far, have a decent shot into the green, and appreciates premium sound and feel.
Considerations
Titleist isn’t giving this one away at $649.
Not much difference from the TSR2.
Verdict
The Titleist GT2 is one of the easiest drivers I’ve ever hit—and it’s earned a permanent spot in my bag.
It’s forgiving across the face, feels incredibly hot on impact, and absolutely explodes when you catch it flush.
The sound and feel are top-tier, and the premium looks seal the deal.
If you want a driver that keeps you in play and lets you go after it, the GT2 delivers.

Bag Appeal: (5) Black on black, Minimal, classic, sleek, and beautiful. Classic -shaped head looks very hittable at address. Everything has a premium look.
Sound/ Feel: (5) Great sound and feel over a large portion of the face..
Distance: (5) Explosive when you catch it and merely long otherwise.
Forgiveness: (4) Great results all over the face. Kept me playable and a long way down the fairway.
Ball Flight: (4) I played a mid-high medium draw mostly. My misses were playable hooks and slight pushes.
Wallet Damage: (4) ~$649 – Not cheap.
Overview & Why Consider It
Titleist designed the GT2 driver for maximum forgiveness and explosive distance—and based on my testing, they nailed it.
The high MOI (moment of inertia) makes the face incredibly stable on off-center hits.
Even when I didn’t catch the sweet spot clean, the GT2 still launched the ball with speed and kept me in play. And when I did catch one?
Let’s just say I recorded some of my longest drives in recent memory—borderline silly numbers.
What impressed me most wasn’t just the power, but the consistency. The GT2 doesn’t demand perfection.
It just quietly does the job—launching solid, playable drives even when your swing isn’t “on”.
If you’re looking for a driver that gives you more distance, more forgiveness, and fewer disasters off the tee, the GT2 should be at the top of your list.
My Experience with the GT2 Driver
I’ve had the GT2 in the bag for a while, but only recently made it my go-to driver.
Why the delay? My swing was in rough shape—sub-terrible, honestly—and I was clinging to one of my older drivers out of pure comfort.
But with the new season on the horizon, I’ve been grinding to get my swing back in shape. Once it felt “good enough,” I finally gave the GT2 a proper shot.
And wow—what a surprise.
It feels fantastic, sounds pure, and looks clean behind the ball. When you catch it flush, it absolutely flies.
Even when you miss it a little, it still hangs in there with plenty of distance and a playable ball flight.
After several rounds, I can confidently say it’s one of the most consistent, forgiving drivers I’ve tested in a long time.
Who is the GT2 for?
Low handicaps: (Yes) You may need lower spin and lower flight. Other than that, the GT2 does it all.
Mid handicaps: (Yes) It’s about as forgiving as they come and as long as any.
High handicaps: (Maybe) You shouldn’t have a problem if you’ve got decent swing speed. Otherwise, Titlest makes the GT1 for you.
Potential Alternatives
Here are a few drivers I think match up well to the GT2 performance. You can check out my full list of comparable drivers here.
Cobra DS-Adapt Max-K – Solid driver with mucho forgiveness and distance.
Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max – Loads of distance and forgiveness, plus an adjustable sole weight to dial in ball flight. Sound and feel aren’t as good as the GT2.

Final Verdict
I’m a large fan of the GT2 driver. It does everything I need from a driver.
- Looks inviting and hittable at address.
- Plenty distance on mishits and explosive distance when I catch it.
- Keeps all but my very worst swings playable.
- Great sound and feel. Solid and muted at impact.
- Gorgeous.
The one downside – Titleist isn’t giving it away at $649 new.
My #1 suggestion is to get your hands on it before you buy. Either at your local golf store or take advantage of Global Golf’s Utry trial program. I use it and recommend it.
