Why Golfers Trust Us
Built on Real, Hands-On Testing
Golfer Geeks started in 2015 as a one-writer passion project. A decade on, the standard hasn’t changed: some gear we buy, some manufacturers send us — and everything gets tested before it earns a recommendation.

The Geeks’ Pick
Wellputt Putting Mat
The one putting mat we recommend above every other — the same mat we practice on. See why it earns the top spot in our testing.
How We Test
1
We Get the Gear
Some gear we buy, some manufacturers send us — never a drop-shipped spec sheet or a guess from a photo.
2
We Test It
Clubs get real rounds and real range sessions. Everything else gets used the way you’d actually use it.
3
We Score Like for Like
Scored products are judged on the criteria that matter for that gear — irons on forgiveness and ball flight, bags on storage and weight — so the comparisons hold up.
4
We Keep It Current
We revisit and update our picks as new gear arrives.
