I discovered – found – became aware of B. Draddy golf shirts for men a few years ago.
I figured they better be something special considering their prices.
I wasn’t disappointed.
What we like:
- They’re as comfortable as it gets.
- Great color and pattern selection.
- Premium look, fit, and feel.
- They don’t just look great at the golf course.
What we don’t like:
- Nada
I was blown away the first time I put on a B. Draddy polo. I thought once you reached a certain price – say $65 or so – these shirts would largely be the same.
Not so…there’s another level.
B.Draddy is on that level and a cut above all my other expensive golf shirts – that I also really like and recommend.

I’ve had my eye on Johnnie-O polos and clothing for a couple years. I’m very happy to finally get some of their polos in for testing.
What we like:
- Superb styles, fit, and finish.
- Vast selection of colors, patterns, and materials to accommodate all your tastes.
- Premium in every way.
- Comfortable, light, and breathable.
- Look great on and off the course.
What we don’t like:
- Nada
I expected a lot from Johnnie-O polos and I’m not dissappointed. Quality and styling jump out at you when you pull them out of the box.
Also, fit and finish. No wonky sew lines. No mismatched patterns. They fit me like I want them to fit me and look how I want them to look.
On the course. At church. Out and about. You can wear them anywhere you’d wear a polo shirt.
They live up to the hype and won’t drain your wallet while doing it.
Price – $$$
Bottom Line: Johnnie-O makes a WIDE selection of premium polos at different price ranges that can accommodate most budgets. 100% worth a look if you’re in the market.

Bad Birdie is one of the more popular golf apparel brands, and for good reason.
What we like:
- Great fit and finish. Actually look good on me.
- Premium materials and construction.
- Comfortable and breathable.
- Large color and style selection.
- Reasonable pricing.
What we don’t like:
- Nada.
I’ve been seeing and hearing about the Bad Birdie brand for a while. I was happy to hear from them and get a chance to try out a couple of their men’s golf polos. (Also shorts, pants, hat, and quarter zip)
I like their styling and the way they’re constructed. Kind of old school with new materials.
They’re not cheap, but they’re not expensive either for clothes of this quality.
Price – $$$
Bottom Line: Great selection and great quality at reasonable prices. Deserve a look if you’re looking for your next polo.

For a small company, Flag & Anthem has a huge selection of golf polo styles, colors, and patterns.
What we like:
- Great fit and finish.
- Huge selection of colors and styles that I’d actually like to wear.
- Great pricing.
What we don’t like:

I started wearing Flag & Anthem apparel at the end of last year. I hadn’t heard of them until they reached out to me.
They feature an impressive clothing selection, from shoes to hats. They have it all.
I agree with their marketing. They do offer premium casual clothing at a good price.

Sun Mountain Elevate Mens Golf Polos

Sun Mountain started offering apparel within the last 12 months or so and they’re killing it with quality, color selection, style, and fit.
What we like:
- Great looking and fitting polo.
- Lightweight and soft material.
- High quality fabric.
- Great selection of colors and styles.
- Reasonable price for the quality.
What we don’t like:
- Ever-so-slightly wrinkle prone.
I was skeptical when I heard Sun Mountain was jumping into apparel. They do golf bags and push carts great, but why the jump to clothing? Seems a risk not worth taking and a distraction.
I guess there’a enough money to try and they had confidence in their ability to make clothes golfers want to buy.
Well, they got the making of the quality clothes part nailed. Time will tell if it’s a viable business.
I love what I’ve tried – Golf bucket hat, quarter zip, and now polos. Sun Mountain will definitely be in my rotation.
Price – $$$
Bottom Line: Great looking and fitting polos at a fair price. Worth a look if you’re looking for your next golf shirt.
Nobull Mens Adapt Golf Polos

I’d heard of the Nobull brand, but didn’t put it together with golf. Rightly so, until they bought out Public Rec.
What we like:
- I LOVE the styling, colors (though limited), and fit.
- Lightweight and comfortable.
- High quality fabric.
- Good quality-to-price ration. (AKA – good value)
What we don’t like:
- Limited color and style selection. (I trust they’ll be working on this)
I really liked Public Rec polos and shorts and was plenty surprised to hear they were gobbled up by Tom Brady (Nobull).
Thankfully, they did the smart thing. Kept the styling and changed the name.
So, I can get the same great shirts in the same colors I like.
Looking forward to see what else they come up with.

Swing Juice Golf Polos

Swing Juice is next on our list of best golf shirts for men. ( Swing Juice “Retro” golf polos are some of my favorite golf shirts.)
What we like:
- I love the pastel color selection. (I own the one in the picture above)
- Their fit and feel are amazing.
- I love their simple & clean design.
What we don’t like:
- I wish they had more single color options.
PriceHigh-quality clothing costs more.
Swing Juice designs go pretty wild. So you’ll find something to suit your tastes if you like such things. (Wasn’t long ago only men in their 60s and 70s wore such patterns, but I’m seeing a much younger crowd wearing loud shirts these days.)
Their t-shirts have fun designs too, but they’re a little on the thin side and they run small. They have a good mix of high and medium-end golf shirts to fit whatever your need.
Price – $$$
Bottom Line: Great resource for high-end golf shirts – either classic colors or something quite a bit wilder. Whichever suits your taste.
State & Liberty Polos
- EXTRAordinarily comfortable material
- Superb construction
- Loads of colors and patterns
- Tailored fit not best for everyone
For guys that favor snug fitting clothes.
What we like:
- Incredibly comfortable material.
- Superb color and pattern selection.
- Very well made.
What we don’t like:
- Not crazy about tailored / athletic fit clothing.
State & Liberty clothes cater to a specific buyer. Fit or thin guys, or guys that like tight clothes.
Even when I could pull it off, I didn’t like tight clothes. These guys embrace this look.
They sent me a medium shirt – the size I requested and the size shirt I’ve worn forever.
First thing you’ll notice, the material is very…very soft. I imagine this is what silk feels like.
Then, I put it on. Whoa! Does this shirt fit snug. Not uncomfortable at all.
It feels incredible.
But…
You see every…single…bulge and ripple in your body.
Not something I need.
No problem. I get in touch with the company and they suggest I order a large.
I’m skeptical, but I go for it.
It fits and looks great. The sleeves are still slightly snug, but not obnoxiously so.
Keep this in mind, and you should be good to go.
Price – $$$
Bottom Line: Premium quality and incredibly comfortable shirts meant to fit snug and highlight how hard you’ve worked at the gym.
Stitch Golf Golf Polos
- Wide variety of colors and patterns
- Excellent material & construction
- Comfortable
- Reasonably priced
- Squared-off look at the shoulders & longer short sleeves
Stitch golf shirts are next on our list of best golf shirts for men.
What we like:
- Superior quality material and construction.
- Nice variety of colors, prints, and patterns.
- Comfortable and breathable.
- Reasonable price for the quality.
What we don’t like:
- The shoulders are squared-off (I don’t know what else to call it) and the short sleeves are a little long. Also, that’s not me in the pic above.
They fit more structured in the collar and shoulders than I care for. And, the short sleeves come down to my elbows. (I’ve got short arms attached to my short body)
Don’t get me wrong, I still wear them. And, you may love the way they fit.

I’ve bought a bunch of Adidas shirts…and shorts, and shoes, and hats, etc. over the years.
What we like:
- I like the way they look and fit me. (easy enough)
- Wide selection of styles, though I prefer classic designs and colors.
- Good fit, finish, and comfort.
- Durability
- They run sales often. (I’m a bargain hunter)
What we don’t like:
- The last few medium shirts I’ve bought from them have run big. Could just be the style I bought. Just be aware.
They have a good mix of high and medium-end golf shirts to fit whatever your need.
Price – $$ – $$$
Bottom Line: I rely on Adidas for quality basic-style golf shirts (my preference), though they have wilder designs if that’s your thing.
