Nitron Auto-Open Build Quality & Construction
The Bag Boy Nitron looks and feels premium out of the box.
The frame is made from high-quality materials that give it a sturdy, well-engineered feel without adding unnecessary weight.
Despite being lightweight, it has a solid, substantial presence, making it clear that this cart is built to last.
Every component, from the handle to the accessory storage, feels well thought out.
The Bag Boy’s Top-Lok system – designed to work with all Bag Boy and Datrek bags – makes putting on and securing your bag a hassle-free snap.
I tested my Titleist bag in the Top-Lok area. Not a perfect fit, but good enough once I fastened the straps around it.
While it accommodates other bags using the included straps, non-compatible bags won’t lock in place with the Top-Lok system.
The Nitron should be around a while. Make sure to pick a color you like!
Performance on the Course – Maneuverability & Stability
On the course, the Nitron rolls effortlessly across all terrain—
- Flat fairways.
- Uphill climbs.
- Downhill slopes.
- Uneven side hills.
The large, soft, non-slip handle makes pushing and steering easy, giving you complete control.
One minor downside? The front wheel doesn’t swivel, which means tight turns require a little extra effort. However, the wide, stable base keeps it from tipping over, even when fully loaded with a bag.
It’s Smooth and stable, though a swiveling front wheel would improve maneuverability.
Storage & Accessories
The Bag Boy Nitron is designed with convenience in mind, offering plenty of smart storage options:
- A roomy top compartment keeps balls, tees, scorecards, and other small essentials within easy reach.
- A spacious lower pouch provides ample space for a jacket, snacks, or anything else you need for the round.
- Built-in accessory clips allow you to attach an umbrella holder, sand bottle, or other add-ons for a fully customized setup.
Everything has a place, so you can stay organized and focused on your game.
Ease of Use – Folding, Unfolding & Storing
This is where the Nitron truly shines.
The auto-open feature is the only one of its kind I’ve seen or used—you barely have to pull on the handle and it unfolds itself nearly instantly.
Closing it is nearly as easy, making setup and breakdown effortless. (Even easier than the Quad Pro)
Step 1: Flip the gray handle lock release open.
Step 2: Lift up on the big cushy steering handle.
The cart will start to open and the Nitro PistonTM does the rest.
Despite its substantial size, the cart folds down compactly and features a convenient carrying handle.
Transporting it from your car to the course is quick and hassle-free, and it doesn’t take up much storage space when not in use.
One minor thing to watch out for when carrying the unopened cart: If you grab the handle you operate the cart with instead of the carrying handle, it will start to open. But once you get used to it, it’s easy to avoid.
One Minor Complaint
Why not have a front wheel that swivels?
