This is our Sunday Golf Big Rig review.

I’m an avid golfer, a 6ish handicap on my way to a 2 (been a 5.6) and frequent tester of golf clubs and equipment since 2015.

Quick Take

The Sunday Golf Big Rig cart bag is THE most premium looking and attractive cart golf bag I’ve ever had in my possession. It comes in a large variety of attractive colors (I chose the cream).

But, it ain't just pretty.

It's got a well-organized 14-way top with full length dividers and 10 external pockets with a few more internal pockets.

The ONE issue I noticed over and over - Though large, the putter well kept snagging my putter when i pulled it out during my round. It’s got a pronounced lip my putter grip kept hitting when I didn’t pull it out just right.

If you want a great looking and highly functional bag, give the Big Rig a look.

Best For

Any golfer who prefers cart bags and doesn’t mind paying a little more for premium quality and functionality.

Considerations

Putter well, though large, will snag your putter grip.

The Verdict

I loved the Big Rig right out of the box.

I thought it looked pretty nice on the website and it had all the features I value.

  • 14-way top with full length dividers.
  • Ample storage and accessories with all the clips and slots I look for.

But, this thing oozes “premium” as soon as you get your hands on it. Yes, it’s got all those features I just mentioned. It’s also very well made with premium materials and premium construction.

As mentioned above, my one issue was my putter snagging in the putter well.

Beyond that, the Big Rig has been pretty much perfect thus far.

Well worth a look if you’re in the market for a premium cart bag.

What Makes the Sunday Golf Big Rig Different?

Sunday Golf Big Rig cart bag at the range

The Big Rig S-Class combines a cream vegan leather finish with some useful storage and club organization features.

Its 14 full-length dividers give each club its own slot, while the roomy top accommodates oversized grips, including JumboMax. There’s also a dedicated putter tube.

The insulated cooler pocket holds seven cans, and a magnetic top pocket gives you quick access without working a zipper. A velour-lined valuables pocket, interior tee and ball marker compartments, and an oversized ball pocket round out the storage.

The S-Class exterior is water-resistant, and Sunday Golf includes a rain hood. At a listed 7 pounds, it’s built for riding or using a push cart. The main draw is the combination of leather styling, generous drink storage, and room for larger grips.

Big Rig Looks

Killer. I’m a sucker for the cream color to begin with. Then you throw in the smart styling, the black accents colors used on the zippers, handles, zippers, etc., and you get a nice contrast. Minimal and elegant. Not loud or busy.

Materials & Build Quality / Durability

Sunday Golf Big Rig cart bag profile

Fit and finish are superb. Not a stitch out of place, not an element off line or awkwardly built. It looks and feels premium and substantial.

I can’t speak to durability. I’ve only had it a couple weeks at this point. I’ve taken it to the driving range and played a round of golf with it.

It looks none the worse for wear at this point.

Club Storage – 14-Way Full-Length Dividers with Padded Putter Well

Sunday Golf Big Rig cart bag 14-way divider top

I’m a sucker for 14-way full length dividers. Then I see how well organized the 14-way top is for the Big Rig and my appreciation only grows.

Other Storage & Organization – Eleven Pockets

Sunday Golf Big Rig cart bag front pockets

It’s got my mandatory 3 pockets down the front and the minimum of 3 pockets on either side for all the essentials and extras you need for your round. That longish pocket you see next to the large bottom pocket is said to be “smell proof”. Don’t know why you need that type of pocket on a golf bag, but it’s there just in case.

Weight & Portability – 7lbs

Sunday Golf Big Rig cart bag ready for a range session

I don’t tend to care much about the weight of golf bags. The good ones are all within a couple pounds of each other. But, the Big Rig is lighter than most. Especially considering all the storage and the quality of the materials used. I find the single strap very well balanced as is and I didn’t need to adjust it at all with my full load out.

Rain Protection

It’s got a high-end rain cover made from the same material as the bag and goes on easily and gives easy access to all your clubs

Value

The Big Rig - as I write this - comes in at $350. Not out of line at all for a bag of this caliber.

It’s got all the functionality you could want, plus, it’s genuine eye candy.

You certainly don’t need a bag this nice, but if you want one, the Big Rig is worth a look.

Customer Reviews

The Big Rig has 621 reviews with an average rating of 4.67. Here’s the current breakdown as I’m writing this review (Subject to change. I won’t keep updating)

The positive comments are all the things I’ve said in this review.
Negative comments include lack of durability, won’t stand on a driving range (I never expect this), starts leaning after a while, the putter well issue I mentioned, etc.

Best Alternatives

Sun Mountain C-130 Cart Bag - The same 14-way full length divider configuration with large putter well. Many cleverly placed pockets for tons of storage, helps make it the most functional golf bag on the planet.

Bag Boy Chiller Pro - All the functionality you need. It’s got some quirky colorways if that’s your thing. It comes in about $120 less than the C-130 and the Big Rig. It’s a solid mid-tier priced golf bag that gets the job done well.

Final Verdict

I would 100% consider making the Big Rig my daily golf bag…if I were just a scoonch more into cart bags.

Alas, I’m not. I love me a stand bag for the way I use golf bags.

That said, I know MANY of you are cart bag people.
And I know many of you don’t mind paying a little more for a premium cart bag if the bag lives up to the premium label.

In my experience with the Big Rig, it does.
