Training Aids We Recommend To Compliment to Your Driver Cheat Sheet

These are the training aids I use most often and come back to whenever my swing starts slipping.

DownUnder Board – My Favorite Training Aid for Improving Lower Body Stabilization, Pivot & Contact

Why I recommend it. It works fast – the first range session for me – and it makes my job testing golf clubs, including drivers, easier. (You can read about that and how to use it here)

In a nutshell – it helps stabilize your lower body so you sway less and pivot and turn properly.

Now, you’ll make crisper contact and create speed efficiently for more distance. (This is certainly my experience with the DUB.)

I think it’s awesome for any golfer looking to plug power leaks and clean up the swing issues I mentioned above.

I find it especially useful when testing drivers or working on my driver swing.

Tour Striker Impact Sling – Our Favorite Training Aide for Sequence, Timing, Transition, & Tempo

Why I recommend it. It’s great for improving swing sequence, timing, swing path, and release. Plus, it’s so very intuitive.

Read more about it here.

It prevents me from yanking on the club at the start of the downswing – which throws it over the plane and usually leads to slices or weaker shots.

Ropes have been used for a looong time as swing trainers.

The Impact Sling is the best-built one around (every piece of it in America), plus it comes with a training series and workout plan from Martin Chuck.

ONE Club Swing Trainer – Our Favorite Training Aid For Speed, Release, Sequence, & Timing

Golfer Geek Sweating w/ the ONE Club

Why I recommend it. It’s a complete swing trainer.

It’s great for sequence, timing, and release, and it’s an overspeed trainer.

With the ONE Club, once you’ve grooved a better swing, you can transition to pure speed training.

I think the average amateur’s greatest benefit is improving your swing sequence and release. You’ll automatically generate more speed.
