What We Like
Incredible clarity, vibrant color enhancement, and excellent glare reduction.
Eye Comfort – Instantly relaxing. No strain, even in harsh sun or reflective glare.
Frame Quality – Solid, sporty build with rubber grips and spring hinges that keep everything secure.
Great Coverage – Wrap-around design offers strong sun and side glare protection.
Stylish Look – Matte tortoiseshell and black frame options give off a clean, premium vibe.
Excellent Warranty & Repair Program – Costa backs up their frames with a solid warranty and a customer-friendly repair/replacement program that adds real long-term value.
What We Don’t Like
Frame Size – These run large. Great if you’ve got a big mellon, but a bit oversized on average or smaller faces. (or maybe just my face)
Price – Premium lenses come at a premium cost (but worth it, if you ask me). Plus you get a lifetime warranty and affordable lense replacement.
Verdict
Costa Rinconcito sunglasses deliver elite lens clarity, sharp contrast, and vivid colors in a durable, sporty frame.
The green mirror lenses are top-tier, and eye comfort is immediate. The frames are sturdy and well-built, but they’re a bit oversized for average faces.
Great pick if you want Costa lens performance in a bold, wrap-around design.

Who Are They For?
The Rinconcitos are built for golfers or just outdoor lovers who want serious lens performance in a slightly larger, full-coverage frame.
If you’ve got a medium-to-large face and value clarity, contrast, and color pop over trendiness, these are a strong choice.
They’re also great if you’re frequently in bright sun or around glare-heavy surfaces like water, sand, or pavement.
Smaller-faced folks? You might want to look at the Whitetips instead.
Lenses

Same incredible lenses as my favorite Whitetips—and they perform just as well.
I wore the Rinconcitos on the course, while driving, and out walking. Bright sunny days, cloudy glare-heavy days—you name it. These lenses cut through it all.
What you get:
- Top-tier clarity – Everything is crisp, clean, and easy on the eyes.
- Enhanced contrast & vivid colors – Greens, shadows, and ball flight stand out.
- Zero distortion – Even in shifting light, my eyes stayed relaxed.
- Instant comfort – You feel it the second you put them on.
The 580G green mirror lenses are the real deal. They filter out harsh yellow, enhance reds, greens, and blues, and block 100% UV.
They don’t just look good—they work.
Frames

The Rinconcito frames are rock-solid and stylish… but definitely built for larger faces.
They didn’t slip or pinch, and they stayed comfortable all day. Lightweight yet rugged, with rubber grips at the nose and temples and spring hinges that snap back just right.
They feel premium—and they look great too.
Only downside? They felt a bit big on my face. Not unwearable, just not a perfect fit. These frames are best for medium-to-large head sizes.
And while I didn’t test their durability long-term, Costa’s repair and warranty program is excellent. If something does happen, you’ve got options—and that’s a big plus.

Best Alternatives
If you like the Rinconcito’s style but want to explore other top-performing options, here are two solid alternatives:
- Oakley Holbrook Prizm Sunglasses – Similar squared frame shape with a more compact fit. The Prizm lenses offer exceptional clarity and vivid color enhancement—some of the best I’ve tested. Great for smaller faces and modern style lovers.
- Maui Jim Makoa Sunglasses – Another wrap-style frame that fits and performs well. The lenses are crystal-clear, and Maui Jim backs them with a strong warranty program that rivals Costa’s. Slightly softer styling and excellent comfort.
