Experience

I've been playing golf for over 30 years and testing equipment seriously since 2015. Every club, training aid, and push cart reviewed on this site has been through my hands—on the course, at the range, or in my garage.

My background as a registered nurse for 20 years and a lifelong gym rat gives me a fitness-centric perspective on golf. I think about how your body moves, how fatigue affects your swing, and how to stay in the game longer without breaking down.

I work with a small network of PGA professionals, including my coach and equipment fitters, to stay current on what actually works versus what's just marketing. Golfer Geeks exists to give you an honest account of my experience with the products I test and straightforward recommendations on who I think they'd benefit.

Golf Journey

I started playing at 23 while in college with no money. Golf can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be—I've always believed that. Second-hand clubs from GlobalGolf or Callaway Pre-Owned, walking instead of riding, finding twilight rates.

Most of my golf life I've hovered around a 10 handicap. A few years ago I got down to a 5.6—mostly by getting deadly from 40 yards in (hint: one of the training aids I review here). That melted away after my daughter was born.

Now I'm on a mission to see how close I can get to scratch. Let's find out together.
